“What are you reading?”

I squint at the title. “Applied Theories of DNA Analysis,” I say. He still looks bemused so I continue, “Hey, I raided your bookshelf.”

He shrugs, reminding me, “I used to read point spreads. What’s your excuse?”

Laying the book on the table, I stand, going to him, trailing a lazy finger up his arm, the other along his chest. “When I can’t sleep, I read.”

He smirks, undoes two buttons on the shirt I’m wearing, his shirt. “I can think of other things to do.”

Brushing my lips across his, I whisper, “So can I.”
