She has never been more scared in her life, something that amuses him hugely.
After all he reminds her, she's survived high school, Harvard, Conrad Ecklie and the lab blowing up around her. This should be nothing.
But it's everything, and not even his hand in hers can stop her shaking.
Until the door opens, revealing a diminutive elderly woman, dark-skinned and grey-haired, with green eyes that are all too familiar.
A pause, then he speaks. "Grams, this is Sara."
That's all it takes for Grams to smile, and Sara finally stops shaking, feeling like she's come home at last.
