Abby’s not a belligerent person, except when she’s been drinking.
So when they’re out for Kate’s birthday, and a slightly soused Tony makes a disparaging remark about McGee, she calls him on it, exerts considerable enthusiasm telling him exactly how he’s wrong.
“He’s a nice guy,” she finishes, sticking her finger in his chest for emphasis. “What the hell is your problem?”
She’s surprised when he catches her hand, holds it tightly in his. “He’s not me,” he says, right before he kisses her.
When he pulls back, she looks into his eyes and smiles. “That always was a problem.”
