When she was a child, Hailey’s favourite way to spend Saturday nights was to have Kirsten and Jimmy baby-sit her. They would eat junk food and watch TV and play board games, and Jimmy would let her stay up as late as she liked.
She’s grown up now, no longer a child, but her favourite Saturday nights are still spent in front of the television with Jimmy, with junk food and board games, staying up as late as she likes.
Kirsten’s not here with them, but the loss of one element doesn’t destroy her enjoyment.
It makes it even better.
