This is unexpected she thinks, and possibly stupid.
She's still more than a little in love with Jack; he's still more than a little in love with his dead wife.
She's still limping from a bullet to her leg; he's still breathless from one to his lung.
They met in hospital, bonded over similar injuries and life experiences, but she never expected this; her ear resting over the stitches on his chest, his finger tracing the pattern of the ones on her thigh.
This mightn't be the smartest thing she's ever done, but right now, like this, she doesn't care.
