Living in Sin
Jack used to tell him that he should get out more, live his life, shouldn't spend all his time in his office. Daniel would inwardly question when Jack turned into his mother, which would invariably lead to memories of his mother, which are few and far between.
Now, he lies in bed with Sam in his arms, and he wonders what his mother would say, because one of the memories he has of his surprisingly conservative mother is hearing her complain about couples "living in sin".
They may be living in sin, but he is living.
He thinks she'd approve.
