He stands on a New York street on his way to Nashua, and he doesn't even try to congratulate his best friend on his engagement. The most he can do is try to keep the disgust off his face, because he knows that Lisa isn't the right woman for Sam.

Except he can't tell Sam that, because the words, "Don't marry her, because we've fooled around behind your back innumerable times" aren't exactly conducive to his best friend status.

Sam's going to ruin his life, but to stop him, Josh would have to ruin their friendship.

So he stays silent.
