From the look on his face, Sam's as ready to kill Toby as I am. The speech won't be that late, and it's not my fault that I don't know the password for Sam's computer. I mean, when exactly did Sam and Ginger turn into Josh and Donna?

Toby's still ranting when I hand him the pages, and Sam comes out of his office, a rueful smile on his face. He presses a piece of paper into my hand, winking at me. "For next time," he tells me, before following Toby out.

Lisa told him that his career meant more to him than she did.

He could never be with Laurie because of the potential scandal.

Mallory thought that he was too much like her father.

Times like that, he thinks he doesn't have much luck with women.

But CJ gives him nicknames and tries to talk him around when he's in a mood. Donna holds him when he feels like his world is falling apart. Mrs Landingham gave him cookies. Ainsley eats his food, but talks to him with smiles and dancing eyes.

So maybe he's not so unlucky after all.
